Disney's
Grand Floridian Resort & Spa is a fine display
of
the splendor of the old grand Victorian hotels
along the Florida coast. From its
spacious verandas, wicker rockers and ceiling
fans, to the red shingled, gabled roofs and
intricate latticework, this stately resort
offers elegance and charm to all who come here.
Victorian architecture is in abundance with
the towers, dormers, cupolas, exposed gable
trusses and band-sawed gingerbread. This impressive
style extends to the monorail stop, which is
designed to resemble a Victorian train station.
The breathtaking lobby ascends 5 stories in
height and is capped with lavish stained glass
domes. Glistening chandeliers, an aviary, potted
palm trees and a grand piano providing live
music, add to the lavish ambiance here. An
open-cage elevator operates to transport guests
to the second floor shops and restaurants.

Impeccably
maintained and perfectly manicured grounds of Disney's
Grand Floridian Resort & Spa are
strung with fragrant, blossom-filled lanes that
meander among the 4- and 5-story buildings of gleaming
white
clapboard siding, red shingled roofs, fairytale
turrets, and intricate latticework. There are
900 guest rooms and suites, and don't be surprised
to see Housekeepers in Victorian period costumes
stroll the grounds twirling
lacy
parasols.
You're so close to the Magic Kingdom® Park,
you can almost hear the dolls sing "It's a Small
World." Situated on the Seven Seas Lagoon,
the restaurants, beaches and several of the rooms have
views of Cinderella's Castle and Space
Mountain. Even
so, the hotel maintains a quiet, relaxing feel that
seems miles away from the hustle and bustle of the
theme parks.
Check-In
is at 3PM and Check-out is at 11AM. If arriving
earlier than 3PM, you may go ahead and "check-in".
A room will be assigned, and you will be given
a Key (card) with a phone number to call after
3PM to get your room number.You can leave your
luggage with the Bell Service, they will store
it until your room is ready. And your free to go
ahead and start enjoying the Parks.
