A Deluxe category resort, Disney's Contemporary Resort is situated on the Seven Seas Lagoon, close the Magic Kingdom® Park. In fact, many rooms have views of the Magic Kingdom® and its nightly fireworks displays. The Contemporary was one of the three original accommodation choices when Walt Disney World® first opened its doors in 1972, with Disney's Polynesian Resort and Disney's Fort Wilderness Resort and Campground. The monorail, which takes guests directly to the Magic Kingdom® Park as well as the other resorts on the Resort Monorail, passes right through the hotel.

The 1,007 rooms at Disney's Contemporary Resort are either in the main Tower or in one of the Garden Wings. The resort is a "futuristic" style, reminiscent of 1970s and 80s style space age furnishings. Many rooms have balconies or patios.

Check-In is at 3PM and Check-out is at 11AM. If arriving earlier than 3PM, you may go ahead and "check-in". A room will be assigned, and you will be given a Key (card) with a phone number to call after 3PM to get your room number.You can leave your luggage with the Bell Service, they will store it until your room is ready. And your free to go ahead and start enjoying the Parks.
